. Ajuda, Lisboa | Collective Housing .

Academic Project | FA-UTL

This project was developed in two different stages. The initial one defined the general morphology and typology of a collective housing plan, located in Ajuda, Lisbon. The proposed residential building volumes follow both road directions (parallel to the east and west roads) to create a sense of continuity along the streets, although at the west side it is slightly pushed back to allow for a larger walkway and retail shops at the ground level.

The second stage was mainly focused on the east housing block. The proposal constitutes itself as an excellence space not only for those who live there but also for all the citizens, by the new proposed public spaces, the views to the Tejo river, and by the correlation between the proposal and the urban context where it is located.
